Plant-e regularly collaborates with different partners to develop applications that contribute to a future with more sustainable energy sources. This time we collaborated on a cool project with DOW Chemical, with whom we are part of the Water Nexus project. We started a pilot project in DOW’s wetland with our Plant-MFC technology as a new and sustainable way to power sensors. These sensors can monitor concentrations of several chemicals found in water. This project allows us to make the first step towards the development of an early warning system for waste water treatment.
